Heather Raitz

Heather is a Michigan-licensed clinical social worker (LMSW), certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC), acudetox specialist (ADS), a EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist. Heather received a bachelor’s in social work (BSW) from Wayne State University followed by a master’s in social work (MSW) from Michigan State University with a minor in Addictions Studies. Heather went on to the University of Detroit Mercy to complete a graduate certificate in addiction counseling.

Heather is currently in private practice and is passionate about repairing attachment wounds of complex trauma survivors who suffer from severe anxiety, panic, phobias and addictive behaviors that sustains isolation and distress. Heather cares about healing human disconnect and cultivating peace from anxiety, stress, and trauma by using the Mind Map System and EMDR Therapy as the filters to dismantle complex developmental trauma reactions that are blocking human connection.
